About the role:
The Senior HR Generalist provides experienced, on‑the‑ground Human Resources support, with a strong focus on execution excellence, employee experience, and regional consistency.
This role acts as the primary local HR presence for employees and managers, ensuring effective delivery of employee lifecycle activities, immigration coordination, and people programs, while operating under the direction and governance of the HR Manager.
Strategic decisions, employee relations outcomes, and legal accountability remain with the HR Manager.
Your contribution will be:
- Own and execute end‑to‑end employee lifecycle activities for Asia‑based employees, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and employment status changes.
- Provide visible, accessible HR support to employees and managers, including regular in‑person and virtual engagement.
- Support managers with HR process guidance (e.g. performance processes, documentation requirements), escalating decisions, outcomes, and sensitive matters to the HR Manager.
- Support delivery of Nintex’s onboarding and induction programs across Asia, ensuring a consistent and locally compliant employee experience.
- Support senior HR and business leaders in implementing and delivering Asia engagement initiatives informed by Culture Amp survey results.
- Manage set up and support for exit interviews via CultureAmp.
- Build and support the roll out of Regional or Asia specific policies and templates.
- Partnering with HR Services team to ensure that HRIS reports, internal resources and platforms for employees, managers and HR are up to date and accurate including Zendesk articles and Sharepoint. Administer and provide guidance on country specific leave policies and entitlements
- Support employee relations matters by gathering information, preparing documentation, and ensuring process adherence, escalating sensitive, high‑risk, or outcome‑driven decisions to the HR Manager.
- and, where required, external counsel or advisors.
- Provide Tier 2 support for employee and manager HR queries, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
- Act as the primary on‑the‑ground coordinator for immigration and work authorization matters, including visas, permits, renewals, and extensions.
- Liaise closely with employees, managers, and external immigration advisors to ensure timely, compliant processing.
- Maintain accurate tracking of visa status, expiry dates, and documentation, flagging risks or delays early to the HR Manager.
- Provide employees with clear guidance on immigration processes while escalating complex, high‑risk, or exceptional cases for decision‑making.
- Partner with Regional Payroll contacts to support and validate HR inputs into payroll files.
- Support delivery of Nintex’s Learning and Development programs.
- Project management and support of people initiatives and projects, including managing the annual program calendar with Asia employees.
- Provide coordination and operational support for Asia people programs and projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, documentation, and employee experience across the region.
- Reinforce clear escalation pathways and ways of working for managers, particularly for performance, conduct, and sensitive people matters.
To be successful, we think you need:
- 2 – 4 years+ experience in a similar HR position, ideally in a global Software or SAAS company
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or relevant degree/certifications with working knowledge of best HR practices.
- Experience or exposure with countries in APAC region including KL, Singapore, Thailand
- This role is an individual contributor position. While the Senior HR Generalist operates with a high degree of autonomy in execution, people management, final decision‑making, and legal accountability remain with the APAC HR Manager.
