Nintex celebrates friends and feats accomplished

With the completion of five acquisitions in under four years, Nintex has had the privilege of welcoming a number of people to our team that we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to collaborate with otherwise.

With the acquisition of K2 Software in October 2020, we have been lucky enough to bring a large group of skilled and talented people into the Nintex fold, some of those being longstanding employees.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating with this group of Nintex employees based in South Africa who recently celebrated their 10-year anniversaries. Their stories remind us of the fantastic environment we are fortunate to call work.

De Wet Lombard-Bovey – Senior Manager, Customer Support

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

Learning: we learn every day, and as the world adapts to new technology, we adapt with it. Never becoming complacent.

Which is your favorite Nintex tenet and why?

Don’t wait. This goes hand in hand with what I enjoy doing every day. Always moving forward and adapting.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

You will never stop learning and growing. The culture here will always push those that want to be challenged and the environment is perfect for that.

Fritz Tubbing – Engineering Manager

Flexibility, equality, and growth both on a professional and personal level.

Gareth Schroder – Senior Customer Support Engineer

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

I am constantly working with different technologies, departments, or customers from another part of the world. This makes each day interesting for me!

Which is your favorite Nintex tenet and why?

Operate with respect and consideration. Many people today don’t treat those around them with respect and consideration, and the fact that this is one of Nintex’s core tenets shows how important it is to them, and it is evident in the way we work.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

You will learn so much from the various teams, people, and technologies within the company. Everyone has opportunities for growth—each presenting its own challenges and rewards!

Maude Badenhorst – Technical Specialist

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

I actually enjoy a little bit of everything – the planning, the communication, the creative aspects, but mostly I enjoy the challenges and team collaboration to get the job done.

Which is your favorite Nintex tenet and why?

I strongly believe in all three tenets, and they go hand-in-hand, but if I have to choose one, I would go with “Deliver on our commitments.” We focus on a few key priorities and ensure we deliver with quality on time – every time. I strongly believe in quality above quantity and when you start something you have to finish it.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

I’m not just a number, my input matters. Nintex gives us the freedom to learn and grow. But most of all the sense of family among team members.

Roche van Heerden – Senior Test Analyst Team Lead

In short, the best thing about my work is that it keeps me on my toes constantly with the added addition that you almost never test the same scenarios.

Which is your favorite Nintex tenet and why?

My favorite would have to be don’t wait.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

Nintex is a great place to work because of the people, everyone is constantly trying to help one another. And Nintex, in general, cares about their employees which shows they know how to value a business because without your employees nothing happens.

Ruan Grobler – Engineer

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

The mutual trust and respect that everyone in the team has for each other, their willingness to assist, makes working on ever more challenging problems much more enjoyable.

#DontWait. Working in sustained engineering, the quicker we can deal with an issue or stop something from becoming an issue, the fewer problems our clients will experience which goes a long way.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

People are inclined to work together to achieve a set goal rather than to only focus on themselves, and we also have fun socials.

Stefan Nolte – Senior Engineer

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

Learning and experiencing something new almost every day, whether it is working with new technologies or collaborating with new people. Over the 10 years, I have been with the company, I have had the opportunity to work with multiple different technologies across different projects and products in my daily work as a software engineer. I also worked and collaborated closely with colleagues across different continents (five, if I’m counting correctly) which gave me exposure to different ways of thinking when it comes to approaching our work and an opportunity to learn from them.

Which is your favorite Nintex tenet and why?

“Operate with respect and consideration” – I’ve always said that one of the things I like the most about working at the company is the people. Consistently while working with different people and teams situated all around the world, I have always seen people being treated with respect and taken into consideration. This is something I think that is very special about our company and is not the case at all companies, based on what you hear from friends and family regarding their work environment.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

The people are great, the work is exciting, and the work you will be doing will be helping millions of people (literally) around the world to make their daily lives easier.

Tania Johnson – Senior Test Analyst

What do you like best about the work you do every day?

I get to contribute to quality practices for great teams. This involves continuous improvement by assessing current levels of quality, implementing a plan to improve it, making sure the implemented changes have taken quality effect and taking action on what was learned to improve project quality.

We operate with respect and consideration. We will move fast and deliver… and we will do it the right way. Mutual respect and consideration in the workplace let everyone know that they are valued for their achievements, abilities, and qualities. Being valued and treated respectfully and being considered helps to promote a positive work culture in which employees are fulfilled, loyal, engaged, and motivated to perform at their very best.

“I would recommend Nintex as a great place to work because…”

Some of my top reasons would be:

  • Encouraging employee input by letting us share knowledge and suggestions, in turn keeping us engaged
  • Excellent communication between management and staff
  • A sense of family among team members
  • The freedom to learn and grow
  • A culture of continuous improvement
  • Attention to employee recognition and appreciation and having a special way to recognize and honor good work
