About the role:
The Engineering Manager will own the technical stewardship of an existing product (or product area), prioritising ongoing maintenance, reliability, and performance while keeping a clear roadmap for future feature development and enhancements. This role will also ensure successful integration and evolution of Nintex Automation Cloud (NAC) services as part of that roadmap.
Your contribution will be:
- Ensure technical excellence – Oversee correct, secure, and standards-compliant code (Angular, .NET, C#, NodeJS, React, HTML, YAML, etc), maintain test coverage, follow security best practices, and align to SLOs/SLIs.
- Drive quality and reliability – Champion quality across projects, make informed technical decisions, and lead teams in threat modeling and Service Reliability practices.
- Collaborate on product delivery – Work closely with Product Management and UX to define features, prioritize work, and plan releases in line with the roadmap.
- Manage delivery and risks – Run teams using agile principles, track performance with data, monitor risk factors, and proactively address schedule impacts.
- Optimize processes and tools – Identify opportunities to streamline tooling, standardize workflows, and improve ways of working to reduce overhead.
- Lead and grow the team – Coach and support team members, plan workforce needs, create training plans, and lead hiring to build required capabilities.
To be successful, we think you need:
- Extensive Software: Development Experience: Over 5 years of building and delivering enterprise-grade software, preferably in multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Preferred: Experience with Angular, .NET, and cloud technologies.
- Engineering Leadership: Proven experience in people management, mentoring, and guiding engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- API Expertise: Skilled in designing, building, and managing RESTful APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI and API gateways.
- Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Strong grasp of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud service design, microservices architecture, and architectural best practices.
- Agile and SDLC Proficiency: Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and capable of managing the full software development lifecycle.
- Collaborative and Growth-Oriented: Effective collaborator in code reviews and design discussions, with a continuous learning mindset.
