The annual Nintex Hackathon 2025: One global team building endless possibilities

Nintex Hackathon 2025

At Nintex, innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s ingrained in everything we do. And every year, we bring our innovation culture to life with the annual Nintex Hackathon.

Why we hack

The highly anticipated Nintex Hackathon event brings together people from across Nintex — in all departments, not just engineering — to push the boundaries of what’s possible when we come together and make the most of total creative freedom.

It’s not just about coding; it’s about problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking. Randomly chosen teams join forces and explore new possibilities to belong together, build new solutions, and adapt to challenges in ways they may not experience in their day-to-day roles. The hackathon brought people together from all over the world and learn from each other. From the US, South Africa, Malaysia, Australia, and the UK, meeting virtually and in person, the diverse makeup of our teams is our strategic advantage.

Taking part in a Hackathon coming from finance felt a bit overwhelming, but the team was fantastic. They included me with everything, and it was a really, really good experience.”

Charlene Jacobs, Manager Global Accounting and Reporting and part of team ‘Leave it to us’

2025 Hackathon

The 2025 Hackathon was theme was “Solutions.” Each year, the theme serves as a launchpad for fresh ideas — many of which go onto create new capabilities that can be adopted by Nintex customers and used by 1,000s of people around the globe. Whether it’s automating workflows, improving customer engagement, or simply finding smarter ways to work, the solutions born in the Hackathon have real-world impact.

I was blown away by this year’s presentations. There’s something special about Nintex culture. These people are able to create completely out-of-the-box solutions in addition to doing their day jobs. It takes a special kind of magic for that to happen!”

And the winner is…

This year’s Hackathon awards ceremony was a testament to the talent, passion, and adaptability of our global Nintex teams. The Hackathon committee judging each category remarked on how high the bar for success was set. Our judging panel took into account a number of factors when deciding the winners, including the potential impact for customers, the code that was created, and the complexity of the solution. Detailed feedback was presented to each team, so everyone who participated could learn and grow from the experience.

Out of 16 teams who entered this year, five category winners (featuring the coolest names on the planet) were chosen:

  • Overall Champions: Hackstreet Boys
  • Most engaged team: Leave it to us
  • Marketing Impact: AI Schweet
  • Most Innovative Solution: Asset Guards
  • Technical Excellence: PHI

Huge congratulations to our 2025 Hackathon Winners!  Shoutout to the members of the Hackstreet Boys for their awesome solution and presentation: Jason Spangler, Anna Tadros, Jonathan Hall, JT Dean, Joseph Nichols, Jonathan Parsons, Cody Taylor, and John Busch.

The winners received cash prizes and a permanent spot in the Nintex Hackathon hall of fame.

“Winning was a huge surprise to me, but also not a surprise because everyone we worked with was just fantastic.”

Cody Taylor, Senior Technical Writer & part of the Hackstreet Boys

More than a competition

Beyond the awards and recognition, the Nintex Hackathon is a platform for learning and personal growth. It’s a chance for everyone to step outside their comfort zones, take risks, and experiment in a supportive environment.

With another successful Hackathon in the books, we’re already looking forward to what next year will bring. Whether you’re a first-time participant or a seasoned hackathon veteran, one thing is certain: At Nintex, innovation has no boundaries. See you in 2026!
