Bellevue, WA – August 20, 2025 – Nintex, a global leader in AI-powered process automation and application development, today announced that it is working with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that integrate low-code application development technologies into the curriculum.
As part of the initiative, students from the Leeds School of Business can engage in a course that leverages Nintex Apps and Nintex for Salesforce to design, build, and customize digital solutions within Salesforce that reflect real-world business challenges.
“We’re not just teaching tools — we’re teaching students how to solve real problems with technology used to power business. As organizations of all sizes prioritize operational efficiency, they are turning to custom solutions instead of bolting on numerous software tools,” said Matthew Brady, instructor in Information Analytics at the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business. “The use of low-code platforms like Nintex empowers students to build production-grade solutions in a 2-week sprint. They leave the course with portfolio projects, new career paths, and confidence that they can drive impact in any industry.”
The collaboration aligns with Nintex’s commitment to fostering practical skills in business orchestration using process automation and business application development. By integrating Nintex’s AI-powered automation platform into the academic setting, students are learning skills that will equip them with the competencies required to build technology that powers modern business today and tomorrow. As the Founder and CEO of Volley Solutions, Brady understands the importance of empowering students inside and outside the classroom.
“The future of business will be powered by tailored solutions designed to the specific needs of every organization using low code automation and agentic AI. The Low-Code for Citizen Developers course at Leeds is preparing next-generation business and technology leaders to drive widespread efficiency across their organizations,” said Niranjan Vijayaragavan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Nintex. “We’re excited to see students building meaningful, real-world solutions using our platform. It’s proof that low-code automation and AI are skillsets that belong in every business discipline and are critical to driving operational success.”
This initiative aligns with Leeds School of Business’ broader strategy to blend academic rigor with practical application, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively to their respective fields.
To expand opportunities for experiential learning, Brady launched a hackathon enabling students to gain experience, build skills and win prizes as they work to create solutions for a variety of scenarios. Now called the Colorado Sustainability Challenge (CSC) Hackathon, Nintex has proudly supported these efforts as a platinum sponsor since the inaugural event in 2021. CU Boulder’s Research & Innovation Office (RIO) hosts the New Venture Challenge (NVC) each April, which is a comprehensive program for innovation and entrepreneurship that begins in the fall semester, anchored by the CSC Hackathon and followed by months of seminars and mentoring sessions to equip students to take an idea from problem definition to market launch.
