About the role:

Nintex’s software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how people get work done more efficiently. This role is particularly forward thinking as you’ll be joining a team focused on researching, incubating and applying new AI-related techniques and approaches. We’re looking for team members who take initiative, are self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and thrive on breaking new ground. If you’re equally passionate about writing solid full-stack software and innovating with applied AI technologies, and if your a fast-moving pioneer, this is the role for you!
 
Your contribution will be: 
  • Research, design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance large scale software and AI solutions, including front-end code, micro-services, agents, other AI-features.
  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
  • Lead the design and implementation of solutions in specialized AI areas, model evaluation, optimization and data processing strategies.
To be successful, we think you need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, writing solid, elegant, full-stack containerized code: we primarily use React/TypeScript and React/Node/Nest or C#, running in K8S.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following technologies: LLMs, LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, tools, embeddings, MCP, agents, multi-agent orchestration.
  • 2+ years of experience leading AI design and optimizing infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, optimizing).

Nintex is committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The annual on-target earning range for this Staff Software Engineer, AI/ML, Nintex R&D position is [$200,000 – $250,000]. Pay within this range is determined by location, experience, skills, and qualifications. A portion of this salary range may be structured as variable compensation, with earnings based on factors such as individual performance, company performance, and achievement of specific metrics and objectives. Total compensation also includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid Global Gratitude & Recharge Days, paid volunteer time off, and more.
