About the role:

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer who thrives on designing distributed systems, scaling real-world AI infrastructure, and leading technical direction that moves the needle for thousands of customers globally. You’ll be joining a senior engineering team working across LLM orchestration, multi-agent systems, and platform-wide architecture. This is a role for someone who wants to go deep technically while also shaping strategy and mentoring others.

Staff Engineers at Nintex are not just senior coders — they are technical leaders with real influence over what we build and how we build it. You’ll be empowered to:

  • Drive long-term platform vision, not just execute on near-term tickets

  • Work with a team that values depth, craftsmanship, and pragmatism

  • Lead from the front — with code, architecture, and thought partnership

  • Have the freedom to prototype, explore, and push boundaries with AI

Your contribution will be:

  • Design, architect, and scale critical components of our intelligent automation platform

  • Lead initiatives around LLM integration, agent tooling, and real-time orchestration across distributed systems

  • Own and deliver production-ready ML infrastructure — model evaluation, deployment, fine-tuning pipelines, and robust inference paths

  • Set technical direction across AI, backend, and infra teams — drive architecture, tooling choices, and long-term scalability decisions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX, and Data to launch intelligent features that are resilient and performant

  • Contribute as a hands-on builder and a trusted engineering leader who lifts others

To be successful, we think you need:

  • 8+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering

  • Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and API design

  • Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent toolkits

  • 2+ years working with or deploying ML models (fine-tuning, debugging, evaluation)

  • Strong collaboration skills — you’ve influenced technical direction in cross-functional or distributed teams

  • Clear track record of ownership over large-scale, customer-facing systems

What’s in it for you?

Nintex has a hybrid working model, enabling us to build culture, learn, and grow together. We intentionally connect and collaborate, while emphasizing flexibility with a blend of at-home and in-office work. This role is remote, with intentional opportunities to collaborate and connect with your colleagues both async and in person

While our offerings differ from country to country, we offer our entire global workforce an array of exciting perks and benefits, including

  • Global Gratitude and Recharge Days
  • Flexible, paid time off policy
  • Employee wellness programs and counseling resources
  • Meaningful peer recognition and awards
  • Paid parental leave
  • Invention/patenting assistance
  • Community impact, paid volunteer time, and opportunities
  • Intercultural learning and celebration
  • Multiple tools through which to learn and grow, and an incredible global community
