Nintex Delivers Workflow On-the-go for Windows

Nintex today announced the availability of the Nintex Mobile app for Windows 8. The Nintex Mobile app for Windows 8 delivers workflow on-the-go to mobile users, providing enterprises with a way to maximize the efficiency and impact of their mobile workers.

The app empowers users to take the workflows and forms they already built and make them mobile quickly and easily, without having to rely on developers to create a specific application for Windows 8. Anyone designing workflows and forms using Nintex can extend their processes to mobile devices, keeping them moving and increasing productivity, even when they are away from the office. The app offers an optimized user experience for mobile workers, allowing them to leverage a native app to get the most out of their Windows 8 device.

“Developing on Windows 8 proved to be a great business decision. Our developers were immediately productive and able to deliver a superior app experience,” said Ryan Duguid, Nintex vice president of product management. “With the recent news that Windows 8 license sales have passed 100 million, we are excited to bring the Nintex experience to a platform that will clearly play a prominent role in enterprise mobile strategy.”

The Nintex Mobile app delivers the following features and benefits:

  • Windows 8 optimized. The Nintex Mobile app is fully optimized for Windows 8 and takes advantage of Windows 8 features such as Live Tiles, the ability to pin frequently used forms to the Start screen, notifications on the Lock screen, and the ability to snap an app for multi-tasking. It also leverages native device capabilities like touch screen, camera, microphone and GPS receiver.
  • Streamlined view. The app provides users with one place to view all workflow tasks. This allows them to quickly approve, reject or redirect tasks. Additionally, users have overall insight to respond appropriately to tasks.
  • Ready-access to business forms. Users have ready-access to all forms allowing them to submit data and kick off processes anytime, anywhere. This means users can respond more quickly.
  • Offline support. The app provides full support for working offline. Users can continue to get their job done, even without connectivity.
  • Synchronization with Nintex Live. The Nintex Mobile app can synchronize data through Nintex Live, providing secure access to SharePoint without having to make any network configuration changes.

“Nintex has always been a strong industry partner with Microsoft, and the Nintex Mobile app for Windows 8 is a great example of how joint solutions can deliver more value to the enterprise and increase business productivity,” said Mark Hindsbo, vice president of developer and platform evangelism for Microsoft. “Nintex continues to be a leader in innovation and we're consistently impressed with the technology they develop to help promote workflow and enterprise efficiency.”
