No. Nintex Apps is a cloud‑hosted service that runs as part of the Nintex platform. Nintex manages the underlying infrastructure, so no additional servers, runtime environments, or infrastructure are required from the customer.

Does Nintex Apps replace my current forms?
It can, but it doesn’t have to.
If your current forms are standalone or disconnected from broader workflows, Nintex Apps can modernize and replace them by embedding those experiences inside fully connected applications.
However, you can also embed existing Nintex Workflow forms directly inside Nintex Apps. This allows you to preserve prior investments while enhancing the overall user experience with richer navigation, orchestration, and data integration.
