Swiss hospital remedies its process automation demand with Nintex
Needed: A new way to manage onsite daycare
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, most businesses and organizations scrambled to find new ways for their employees to work remotely. For this large hospital in Switzerland, one of the new accommodations it had to make wasn’t for its employees—it was for its employees’ children.
Even with telemedicine, most healthcare workers have to work where their patients are. But while the hospital’s staffers continued to come to work, the public and private sector daycare centers that hosted their children all closed. Parents were left with a potential dilemma: stay home from work to tend their children or find alternate child care arrangements—fast.
Fortunately, the hospital stepped in to prevent that potential dilemma from becoming a real one. It expanded its onsite day care centers from a single center to five centers in order to meet the increase in demand from employees. More than needing increased space, the hospital needed a new way to manage the day-care service. The old way of registering children—a mixture of phone calls, emails, and a spreadsheet—had become impractical with the growing complexity and volume.
The hospital thought it just needed a digital version of its daily registration form; it achieved that goal, and much more, with Nintex Forms and Nintex Workflow.
