The Nintex Q&A Blog Series was created four years ago to highlight people at Nintex who are behind the scenes making Nintex – and the work we do – better.
Zoey joined Nintex in 2019 as a data analyst. She started at a busy time – our fiscal year was closing after acquiring both Enablesoft and Promapp® within the same year. In her first month, Zoey was joining projects with stakeholders in leadership roles on the sales, finance, and marketing teams.
Learn more about Zoey and the work she is doing in the 11 questions below.
1. What is your role at Nintex?
I’m a data analyst supporting our global marketing organization.
2. What do you like to do with your time off?
Exercise! Movement is so good for our bodies. I was fortunate enough to have built a home gym a few years ago that ended up being really useful over the past year.
3. Where is home for you?
I’ve had many homes. I came to the U.S. in 2010 and went to Syracuse University. Since then, I’ve hopped around the states quite a bit. Literally coast to coast, from New York to San Jose. Now Seattle – and we’re all stuck where we are – but not sure where I’ll end up next. I do really like Seattle for now!
4. What is a project that you’re most proud of?
I’m really proud of the forecasting project I’ve been building since I started at Nintex. The project itself is continuous and can always be improved upon. It has been a great exercise for me to gain a deep understanding of the company’s goals for the future.
For this project, I create visual dashboards, generate sophisticated reports, and help our team understand the data we have. This helps all Nintex teams in various departments across the globe make goals, allocate budgets, and measure achievements that justify ROI.
Then we do it all again the next fiscal year!
5. Is there anything you’d like to share with a future Nintex employee?
Everyone at Nintex has a “get things done” mentality but everyone is nice and professional with each other. We don’t take things personally, and we love to joke around, but we also make ambitious goals that we end up achieving more often than not.
6. Favorite season?
That depends on where I am. My favorite season is winter on the east coast – dry and snowy!
7. What’s your favorite memory?
Years ago – I temporarily moved to Germany to practice my German language skills. I have so many fond memories of drinking coffee in Berlin. There are a lot of simple joys to be found there. It’s a great place to walk around with that crisp air and a nice beverage.
8. Favorite spot to getaway?
Hot springs! We visited hot springs a couple years ago and since then – I’ve been longing to go back.
9. Tips for dealing with overwhelm?
I communicate with my managers and share my list of priorities. If I need to we discuss what is lower priority to ensure that I can accomplish what’s most important.
10. What kind of music do you gravitate to?
These days I like relaxing, meditative music. I used to like a lot of rock and pop music. With everything going on today, I think we could all use meditative music. It’s so soothing.
11. Last concert you went to and next concert you’d like to see?
The last concert I went to was over five years ago. I saw Green Day in Pittsburgh. You know, life happened in between!
Zoey is on the marketing team, but her work impacts the Nintex team across the globe. We’re excited to see the great work that Zoey will do next.
