2020 was a very exciting year for Nintex. In the past year, we released a number of new features and products that pushed the limits of process automation further than ever before. We’re excited to continue our innovative momentum from 2020 and go even bigger in 2021.
This upcoming year, there’s a lot to look forward to, including some great new functionality coming to the Nintex Platform.
Here are some of the things that you can look forward to this year.
New Nintex features you can expect in 2021
Nintex Workflow Cloud
We are excited to announce that the Nintex Workflow Cloud product team will be releasing some highly requested new features to support more complex forms and approvals across enterprise and government solutions.
Right before the holiday season, we added the new Repeating Sections feature that comes with two major perks. First, it supports the ability to add repeating rows of data within a form, and second, it allows the user to insert row-based calculations to capture a variety of scenarios including incident reports, inventory lists, expenses, and more.
Later this month we will be delivering the ability to start, save, and then continue filling a Nintex Workflow Cloud form later in our Save and Continue feature, which has become increasingly important in this time of government financial programs and COVID-19 related paperwork.
We will also be adding a feature that provides the ability to have Multiple Approvers on a task with advanced logic options for those more sophisticated approval processes.
Nintex RPA Central
As for Nintex RPA Central, soon enough you’ll have access to our incredible new designer experience. The new design includes the new Nintex look and feel, improved installation, optimized navigation, and a number of new capabilities to manage your Nintex RPA Botflows™ more efficiently.
The latest version now allows users to utilize with greater granularity and control, making it easier than ever to add a bot to Nintex RPA Central. The user management and instances views have also been updated for navigation and interaction consistency with the rest of the Nintex Platform. We think you’ll love the new experience!
More of what’s to come
Just in case the Nintex Workflow Cloud and RPA Central updates weren’t enough excitement for one blog post, we’d like to highlight some of the other key initiatives releasing later this year.
In a previous blog post, we shared our plans to provide a cohesive, consistent, and highly intuitive suite of products and OOTB tools to serve even more of your business needs. One of the deliverables of that initiative is to get all our cloud products optimized with the same look and feel, as well as improved accessibility, readability, and ease of use. You will start to see the new designs releasing across Nintex Workflow Cloud, Forms, and Mobile over the next couple of months.
Currently, we’re on the road to releasing 100 connectors this year, and you’ll be seeing new actions and events start coming out in January with many more following through the rest of the year.
3. My Nintex
We’re also making great progress in building My Nintex, a single Nintex destination, to access forms and start processes, track progress of requests, complete tasks, and view workflow case lists, so your end-users will always have the information they need in a single location.
As My Nintex evolves in the first half of the year, we are in the early stages of building a unified mobile experience that will allow access to Nintex Promapp® processes, followed by forms and tasks so you’ll have everything you need from the Nintex Process Platform, wherever you are.
4. K2 Software integration
Our recent acquisition of K2 Software, Inc. is certainly garnering a lot of our time and attention. At the end of January 2021, we’ll be hosting a webinar to share our vision, roadmaps, and give insight into what our customers and partners can expect in 2021 and beyond.
5. Cloud to ground gateway
We’re also working on a platform initiative that will allow existing customers to leverage even more of the newest Nintex technology. In the first half of the year, we will be releasing an on-premises data gateway to allow Nintex Workflow Cloud customers to access their on-prem data and include in cloud workflows and forms. Following the gateway is a hybrid experience that will support the ability to build workflows and forms in Nintex Workflow Cloud and then surface that content in SharePoint on-premises without changing the system of record.
6. Migration support
For those of you who are considering a move to Nintex Workflow Cloud, we will have the tooling to upgrade workflows from Nintex Workflow for Office 365 to Nintex Workflow Cloud by mid-year. And by the end of 2021, we plan to have similar support to move from Nintex Workflow for SharePoint to Nintex Workflow Cloud quickly and easily, whenever you are ready to do so.
We are thrilled for all that is to come in 2021 and what our teams have in store for our customers and partners. I could go on and on about our product plans, but I’ll save some news for future blogs, so make sure to check back regularly.
We can’t wait to see what you build next with the new set of features on the Nintex Platform. Here’s to automating more in 2021!
