What’s the Latest for Nintex Workflow Cloud®?

In recent posts, you heard from our CTO Alain Gentilhomme and VP of Product Alex Burton on our commitment to SharePoint and our excitement about the innovation that Microsoft is putting into this business-critical platform.

Having spent seven years of my life at Microsoft working on SharePoint, I share their enthusiasm for the news from Jeff Teper during the recent SharePoint Virtual Summit, where he reaffirmed his commitment to helping customers transform their business processes through effective communication, collaboration and sharing.

At Nintex, we obsess about business process, and the impact it can have on the world around us.

More so, our focus has always been on ensuring that ‘no process is left behind’, helping our customers automate everything from the simplest to most sophisticated processes.

That focus has led to a breadth of deployment that I believe is unparalleled in our industry.  In fact, I recently did some back-of-the-napkin math to show that the Nintex platform gives our customers back more than 50 person years of productivity per day, and those were conservative calculations!

Now you might think we’d be happy to sit back and celebrate those results, but at the end of the day, we believe there is far more we can do to benefit the world around us.

All Together Now

For that reason, we’ve been hard at work on the Nintex Workflow Cloud, our next-generation platform, built from the ground up to bring the power of Nintex to every platform, like Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Dropbox, Box, Google, Citrix, DocuSign, Adobe, Marketo, Zendesk, and many more.

Released in November last year, we’re seeing great uptake as the market recognizes the value of enabling workflow and content automation across all their cloud investments.

We update Nintex Workflow Cloud every two weeks, so you get a constant stream of innovation, and have the chance to help us rapidly shape the product in response to customer and partner feedback.

We also have an Advance Preview program that uses feature flights, so we can work with early adopters to validate new capabilities.

What’s New?

In the latest release, we packed in several new features and improvements.

By far the most exciting is our connector for SharePoint Online. We have grand plans for this connector, but you can already use it to build workflows in the Nintex Workflow Cloud that can create, retrieve, update, or delete SharePoint List Items.

Why so exciting?

First, it was built on top of our new extensibility framework that will enable our customers and partners to build their own connectors.

Second, it represents a small, but important first step towards the ultimate unification of our cloud platforms.

Coming up soon, we’ll be bringing the extensibility framework out of Advance Preview, adding support for designing forms within the Nintex Workflow Cloud, and releasing the first version of our Doc Gen action to support content automation.
