Nintex at Microsoft Inspire 2019: Q&A with Joe Peterson

With Microsoft Inspire coming up on July 14-18th in Las Vegas, Nintex is excited to celebrate with our 2019 Nintex Partner Award Winners, learn about new innovations from Microsoft, and share what we have been working on since last year’s event with current and future partners.

Nintex Senior Director Joe Peterson works closely with hundreds of partners around the world to make sure they are equipped to fully leverage the Nintex Platform for automating, managing and optimizing business processes.

We chatted with Joe to get a better sense of Nintex’s presence at Microsoft Inspire 2019.

1. What is your role here at Nintex and how do your responsibilities relate to Nintex’s presence at Microsoft Inspire this year?

Joe: I lead partner management and Nintex’s channel sales and strategy. My responsibilities revolve around establishing the Go-To-Market through referral partners and resell partners as well as ISVs, specifically our primary routes to market which is around Salesforce, Microsoft, and Adobe.

At Inspire, I will meet and reconnect with many of these strategic partners and work together to increase the momentum of integrating process management and automation technologies in the modern workplace. Additionally, I will be promoting our amazing partner program, engaging with existing partners, and recruiting new ones.

2. What are your team’s goals going into this year’s Inspire event?

Joe: Going into this year’s Inspire event, we are ensuring that we make the most of our time. Our priorities are to kick off new fiscal year planning with our established partners that are at the event and build our Go-To-Market plans. We also are interested in recruiting partners from the Microsoft ecosystem.

Further, we want to showcase the new technologies that we have been working on recently. We’ve added several new capabilities to our platform that will improve customers’ and partners’ experience with our product. For instance, earlier this year, we released Nintex Sign® powered by Adobe Sign, which we are very excited to share with our partners as well as our latest news that Nintex Sign is available for Microsoft SharePoint customers.

3. Since Microsoft Inspire 2018, Nintex has expanded our product suite exponentially. What are you most excited to share with partners about these new offerings?

Joe: With the acquisitions of Promapp and the maker of Nintex RPA, Enablesoft, we have been able to add process mapping and robotic process automation capabilities to our platform so that our customers and partners can accomplish more. These integrations help complete the overall process automation stack.

There are so many different use cases that we can now handle and to help both customers and partners identify the actual processes that need to be automated. We are excited to show these features out and help our partners utilize them effectively.

4. What can existing partners and potential partners expect from Nintex this year at Inspire?

Joe: Existing and potential partners can expect a big presence this year and lots of opportunities to dive deeper into the Nintex Platform. We’ll have members of our executive team at Inspire as well as our entire Americas channel team and teammates from EMEA and APAC. We’ll also have a big party on Sunday night!

5. Inspire is a major event for Microsoft partners. With so many people there, what is going to make Nintex stand out this year?

Joe: The things that are going to make Nintex stand out are around the new technology that we’ve added to the platform to extend beyond workflow automation. With process mapping and end-to-end automation capabilities, partners will quickly see that Nintex is the industry’s most complete, powerful and easy-to-use platform for process management and automation.

There is a reason why Nintex earned five-star recognition from CRN earlier this year for our partner program. We’ve worked hard to ensure our partners are completely taken care of by our partner managers. From creating free onboarding and training programs to jumping on a call whenever a partner needs a hand, our partners have the support and ability to acquire Nintex certifications and differentiate themselves in the market.

6. Why should Inspire attendees stop by Nintex’s booth?

Joe: There are several reasons that Inspire attendees should stop by our booth this year. Firstly, to learn more about what we can accomplish together, the benefit to customers and how we partner. And to see our newest capabilities including Nintex Promapp®, Nintex Sign® powered by Adobe Sign, and Nintex RPA! We truly have the best partnerships in the industry and the best reputation for partnering in the industry.

Another very fun reason is that there is an exciting, Vegas-style, way to take your automation game to new heights by stopping by the Nintex booth #3019.

7. Which sessions are Nintex speaking at this year and what are they going to feature?

Joe: We’re speaking at two sessions this year at Inspire. Our first one will be with Paul Hsu, on our product marketing team, who share tips to improve your customers’ online experiences through website content development and social presence. The second will be with Christian Lucarelli, our APAC VP of Sales, who will share how to successfully leverage the Microsoft Co-Sell program to drive sales. Both sessions are taking place on Wednesday, July 18th from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

8. What are you looking forward to most about this year’s Inspire event?

Joe: I’m excited to catch up and build upon on our Go-To-Market plans with our established partners as well as meeting new companies that we can partner with to help our customers.

It’s great being able to sit down with partners and hear about their experiences with our platform in terms of what they love about it and what directions they would like to see us take in the future. Getting feedback on how we can make a bigger difference in their business is important as we’re committed to the success of every Nintex customer and partner.

9. Is there anything else you’d like to share about Nintex’s presence at Inspire this year?

Alex is a new addition to the Nintex Marketing team, as he is now a Marketing Specialist on the Corporate Communications team after completing a year-long internship with Nintex starting in the summer of 2019.
